Sam Altman wants to scan your eyeball now: Worldcoin is Altman’s identity-tech startup and it’s now officially launched — outside of the US. Where available, users can visit an Orb (Worldcoin’s eye-scanning device) and gain a World ID, meant to help verify one is human, not AI.
OpenAI Quietly Shuts Down Its AI Detection Tool [Link]
ChatGPT creator OpenAI quietly unplugged its AI detection tool, AI Classifier, last week because of “its low rate of accuracy,” the firm said. The explanation was not in a new announcement but added in a note added to the blog post that first announced the tool. The link to OpenAI’s classifier is no longer available.

Bing Chat is coming to Google Chrome and Safari [Link]
Microsoft is rolling out a dark mode for Bing Chat, too.
“We are flighting access to Bing Chat in Safari and Chrome to select users as part of our testing on other browsers,” Caitlin Roulston, Microsoft’s director of communications, says in a statement to The Verge. “We are excited to expand access to even more users once our standard testing procedures are complete.”
Microsoft will enforce restrictions on other browsers, prompting users to download Edge to remove limitations.
This is a straight power move by Microsoft.

Some limitations on Chrome and Safari include a 2,000-word prompt limit and conversation reset after only five turns (almost unusable).
