OpenAI has formed a new team called “Preparedness,” led by Aleksander Madry, to assess, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with AI systems. The team’s responsibilities include forecasting and protecting against various dangers, ranging from AI’s persuasive abilities to its potential for generating malicious code.

Goal: a quantitative, evidence-based methodology, beyond what is accepted as possible:
